Plans for this year

This time it didn’t take me as long to write.  We are making a point to keep this up.  We hope readers are doing well.  Do remember that our email is wastepreventiongroup@gmail.com if you have any inquiries!  Anything you'd like to know will be responded to in a timely manner.

In our last post, we mentioned that we would be discussing our plans for the coming year and that we did!  We have a lot of work ahead of us, which means we will have a very successful year.  For the sake of brevity, we will be working on networking, workshops, events, keeping contact with schools, churches and the hospital and learning more about educational campaigns.  Our goals behind each are quite extensive, both in learning more about them, since no matter how much we know together, knowing more will help with our success, as well as planning (for both) and doing (for Alfred, until Allie’s return).  Luckily we both have some great resources at our disposal.

We look forward to updating you all on how this work is going, but until then, a quote by Richard M. Daley:
That area environmentally is a waste. You can't do anything. I don't care if the Sierra Club goes out there. It is fully polluted! You're not only going to work to clean up the environment, but also you will put people to work.

Very Late Post Two

Hello again!
I wrote this immediately after but sadly had some problems that delayed my ability to tell you more as quickly as ideal.  I want to post more often, though.  If not, we'll always post as often as possible.  I hope everyone has had a good and fruitful few months.  We have been well!  Before I get to anything else, though, I'll continue our story (if you'd even call it a story).  For the moment, you can contact us at wastepreventiongroup@gmail.com .  Anything you'd like to know will be responded to in a timely manner.

When I wrote this, we were in the process of choosing an NGO to work under.   We will be starting small with our work, so are not yet prepared to be our own entity as of yet.  We met two organizations in the prospect of collaborating before choosing between the two.  The others have not yet responded to our contact, so we look at those two alone.  The two we chose to meet are very good choices to work with us in our work, so the end choice was definitely a good one.

Some criteria we had for the NGOs are:
 - Waste prevention must be related to their work in some way
 - Their values must be synonymous with ours

That is all for now.  It is indeed an exciting project to be a part of.
